A steel angle is not interchangeable with a same-nominal-size angle from another tolerance or standard basis. Fit is set by the equal- or unequal-leg geometry, the leg sizes and thickness, then by grade, length, tolerance/document requirements and the applicable angle dimensional standard.
Equal- and unequal-leg angles are different section families. Stating only a nominal size leaves the geometry ambiguous — the exact leg A, leg B (for unequal), thickness and the dimensional standard must be verified before accepting a substitution.
